STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Scriptures
The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God and serves as our infallible guide for how to live and believe. (I Timothy 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21)
The Godhead
There is one God who exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:18-20)
Man, His Fall, and Redemption
Males and females are created in God's image, but through Adam's sin, all have sinned. Jesus came to redeem us by giving His life. We are spiritually dead and need God to draw us to Him. Only those who accept Christ and are born again will be saved. (Romans 5:12, 3:23-24, 1 John 3:8, Ephesians 2:1-9)
The New Birth
Being born again is essential for salvation. (John 3:3-5). One is born again the instant a person believes in the Lord Jesus Christ and accepts Him as their personal Lord and Savior.
Water Baptism
All who are born again must be baptized in water by immersion. Baptism is an act of obedience and symbolizes new life in Christ. (Romans 6:4)
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit baptism is a gift for believers, marked by speaking in tongues as the Spirit empowers. (Matthew 3:11, Acts 1:8, Acts 2, Rm.8:1-18, Eph.1:13)The baptism in the Spirit is to be differentiated from the indwelling of the Spirit that comes at the moment of salvation. The Spirit dwells in us and seals us the moment we put our faith in Jesus Christ. The baptism in the Spirit has nothing to do with salvation but is an empowering to carry on the supernatural ministry of Jesus in this world. Thus the initial indwelling of the Spirit relates to our salvation. The baptism of the Spirit concerns our service.
Divine Healing
God provides healing in the atonement through the stripes of Jesus. Healing through faith, prayer, the laying on of hands, and all other means of God created, God given, and God inspired wisdom, including that of medical science. (Isaiah 38:21, Mark 16:18, James 5:14-15)
Spiritual Warfare
Spiritual warfare is real and occupied a lot of Jesus’s ministry. Authority and power have been given to all believers to win every battle in their lives. Lu.10:17, Acts 1:8
Heaven and Hell
Heaven and Hell are real. The saved go to heaven, while the lost go to hell, and both are eternal. (Mark 16:15-16)
Rapture and Second Coming
Jesus will return to take believers to heaven (the rapture). Later, He will return to Earth to rule for a thousand years. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
Communion
We celebrate Communion to remember Jesus' sacrifice. The bread represents His body, and the cup represents the new covenant in His blood. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
Laying on of Hands
Spiritual power can be passed from one person to another through the laying on of hands, a practice Jesus used. (Mark 10:13-16)
The Gospel
The gospel is the message of Jesus' virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death, physical resurrection, and ascension. It is the only message that can transform hearts. (Rm.1:16, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
Women in Ministry
Women can participate fully in ministry, including preaching and teaching, as they are called by God to serve. (Jn.14:12, Acts 2:17)
The Sanctify of Life
We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Ps 139.) We extend love and mercy to all who have ended a pregnancy and will help them with kindness and truth.
Marriage
Because God has ordained marriage and defined it as the covenant relationship between a man, a woman, and Himself, [the Church] will only recognize marriages between a biological man and a biological woman.
Sexuality and Gender
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Gen 1:26-27.) Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person. We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Gen 2:18-25.) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman in the confines of marriage(1 Cor 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb 13:4.) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of Deeper Waters Church Inc.

Sermon Notes for Sunday, April 20, 2025
Acts 1:1-11, Acts 2:1-4, 14-39
After Jesus's resurrection, He showed Himself alive to His disciples by many convincing proofs. He did this for a period of forty days.
On one occasion, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for the Promise of the Father, which He had often spoken to them about.
He steered the disciples off of the subject of knowing dates and times and focused them on the Promise and told them that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came on them.
The purpose of the Spirit coming on them was to empower them to be His witnesses all over the world.
He was taken up into heaven while they watched Him disappear into a cloud.
Ten days later, on the fiftieth day after the crucifixion, the sound of a rushing mighty (violent) wind came from heaven, and tongues of fire appeared. Each person present in the upper room spoke in other tongues (languages) as the Holy Spirit enabled them. (120 people present)
Peter stood up and preached, saying that what was seen and heard was that which was prophesied about by the prophet Joel.
This pouring out of God's Spirit would be something that lasted all through the period of time called the last days.
This pouring out would be for all who accept Jesus Christ, men and women, and it would empower all to prophesy.
Peter stated that what was seen and heard on the Day of Pentecost came from the resurrected Jesus.
The Spirit baptized believer and the Spirit baptized church is proof positive that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and ascended to the right hand of God, since it was He who poured out the Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, and it is He who still pours out the Spirit on all who ask Him for it.
By placing His Spirit in His people, Jesus could and would carry on His ministry of signs, wonders, miracles, healing, and deliverance.
The ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ continues today as His people minister everywhere they go. Every believer is a minister of the New Covenant and should be ministering supernaturally to people they come into contact with on a daily basis.
Believers are supposed to lay hands on the sick and cast out demons!
The pouring out of the Spirit makes every believer a supernatural minister, and is not just for some hierarchy of religious professionals.
Every single believer who has received the baptism of the Holy Spirit has the power of God inside of them. The purpose of this is to pass it on to others who are lost, sick, demonized, and hurting.
